Update: Week 13-16

So I have fallen behind for a few weeks. This has been the scariest and most doom and gloom weeks of my life!

So here is the update:

13 week appointment- Went to specialist for the 1st time. They did the NT scan and found that one of the babies necks was measuring bigger (4.3) to be exact. Which put its outside the normal level of nothing higher than 3ml. The doctor wrote the word "cystic hygroma" on a pieces of paper and handed it back to me. After that appointment and the scare of what that could mean I had the first round of blood work for genetic testing. The was the last week of summer!

Waiting..... the following week, my first week at inservice...we received the call that the blood work was inconclusive. Her office then scared me more by telling me the reason it could happen is because of genetic problems which was the point of the whole test! They told me not to retest and to come back in 2 weeks for the amnio. I was not liking that idea at all!!

The next day I called my regular OB doctor office. Told them what was going on and she made me feel better saying in no way it could mean a genetic problem and sometimes those results come back just because the babies are too small. I went the following day to retake their blood test.

More waiting.... On the first day of school we got the call at 5:30 that our results came back negative! and we were having girls!!!! It was a great 3 days because we thought everything was going to be great!!!!

I had another specialist appointment that Thursday. I was looking forward to telling them they made a mistake and that I can't believe they told me just to skip the blood test and to pretty much throw it in their face and these babies will be perfect!!!! It didn't go as planned..... Once again we got more bad news!
